Father Daughter Events (Young Daughters) - Feedback & Photos
Father Daughter Events (Young Daughters) - Feedback from the Fathers in 2023
I registered for this guided “Fathering Girls”
Father and Daughter Camp because I was aware there was only just one vacancy
remaining, and we had just had a falling out over mobile phone use.
I viewed this as an investment for our future.
This experience has meant everything to me!
It has helped me to understand how important my daughter is, and now I can work
on becoming a king for my princess.
This experience has given me some key realizations, great conversations, a
structured program, and some great memories.
The moment I realised that you were actually helping me in my journey as a Dad,
was during the Dads session on the first night, when Darren spoke about
daughters being princesses in response to “The Little Princess” movie clip and
the article he shared, and specifically about the importance of realizing that
we Dads / kings have a majestic, glorious, weighty role.
My favourite highlights from this experience were the time of focussed learning
& discovery, the bonding, and the impact on my beautiful daughter.
Beyond this experience, life for me will have greater clarity, and I will apply
some of the principles I learnt during the weekend.
Rob (Age 51 years) from North Brisbane, QLD.
I am very conservative, and my daughter is very
spirited. I felt like she challenges my values, and that there was an early
split in our relationship. I could only deal with it by us butting heads –
trying to force my view. I was frustrated. There would be frequent escalation,
and shouting on my part. I was not the Dad I wanted to be.
My parents divorced, and my father tried to commit suicide, which was very
traumatic for me as a 5 year old boy. I am carrying a lot of baggage, and did
not want to recreate a similar experience in my own family.
This guided “Fathering Girls” Father and Daughter Camp has resulted in enormous
transformation, in me, in my daughter, and in our relationship.
I am now experiencing true connection with my daughter that I am not sure I
have felt since she was born.
No-one had ever taught me how to be a Dad, so, having a guided experience like
this was amazing.
My favourite highlight from this experience was affirming my daughter on
Saturday night, as we had been coached to do so.
Beyond this experience, my hope is that when we return home, that what we
discovered here will be sustained.
And in regards to value-for-money, I always expected that it was top value. Now
I see it as priceless.
Darren P (Age 48 years) from Sydney, NSW.
Prior to engaging ‘Fathering Adventures’, I had
always wondered if I was doing the best I could (or at least “good enough”) as
a Dad, for each of my children.
I registered for this guided “Fathering Girls” Father and Daughter Camp based
on encouragement from a friend who I respect greatly, who has taken his
daughter on one of your guided “Rite of Passage” Daughter and Father Adventure
experience in the past, and vouched for the quality of that experience.
This experience was a wonderful opportunity to spend undistracted time with my
daughter, one on one.
What a blessing it was to have an opportunity to share with her what I love
about her, what I am proud of her for, and that she is seen by me. Thank you.
There is no rocket science in what happens throughout the weekend, but it is
incredibly valuable, simply because it creates a space for vital relationship
building, and reminding me of how important I am in my daughter’s life, and in
each of our kids’ lives.
My favourite highlight from this experience was getting to speak into, and breathe life into my daughter’s life, and the encouragement I received
from that to look for the right moments to continue to do so in the future, and
for my other children, and my wife.
Beyond this experience, I will be more intentional in having one on one time
with each of my kids, and asking them the 3 intelligence-gathering questions on
a semi-regular basis.
In regards to value-for-money, I first thought that it was a pricey experience
(although not unreasonably so). Now I see as worth every dollar, and many more.
Chris (Age 45 years) from Brisbane, QLD.
I am separated from my daughters’ mother, so
time with my girls is shared. Whilst we have managed to work out a pretty good
system, it’s still hard on everyone.
This guided “Fathering Girls” Father and Daughter Camp has been a time of
recalibrating, getting intentional, stepping back from all of the changes of
life and busyness, and refocussing on my kids, and my role as Dad.
The 1 on 1 time was gold. It’s nearly impossible to get so much time free of
distractions, work, school, friends etc.
Darren and Melissa, you two are such wonderful souls! I thought it before, and
I see it still. There is so much love in this program.
My favourite highlights from this experience was affirming my daughter, after being coached how, and
the High Ropes & Zip Line courses were excellent too.
Beyond this experience, I am going to have better connection with both of my
kids.
Josh (Age 44 years) from Melbourne, VIC.
Prior to engaging ‘Fathering Adventures’, I
didn’t know how to connect to my daughter’s heart at a deeper level. We had a
good surface relationship, however now it will be deeper.
I registered for this guided “Fathering Girls” Father and Daughter Camp because
my friend and business coach told me about it, and I thought it would be an
incredible experience to build our relationship.
There is no instruction manual as a Dad, and now I feel confident, because this
experience has helped give me fathering skills.
I also now realize that my wife
also needs me to affirm her.
The moment I realized that you were actually helping me in my journey as a Dad,
was immediately.
I have literally taken pages and pages of notes from revelations I received
this weekend.
My favourite highlight from this experience was my daughter’s unwavering
affection toward me, and our connection after I affirmed her on Saturday evening. She absolutely loved it, and thanked me on a deep level. So very
special! It melted my heart.
Now that I understand just how important my role is in my daughter’s life, and
my wife’s life too, beyond this experience I will be less selfish with the time
I spend with them.
The value-for-money of this experience has been incredible, and the experience
itself has been invaluable.
Karl (Age 44 years) from Cairns, QLD.
